The Street Number 12

Fernanda was only six when she became ill.
Being eleven,
hospitalized to treat a serious disease,
she began to write a diary
with intention of turning into a book.
In it, the girl would tell about
the Street Number 12,
about adventures she lived with her friends,
about Mister Francis,
who saw Death twelve times.
Her life within the hospital would also be shown.
It's there that Fernanda meets an angel,
who's also hospitalized
and with whom she exchanges many joys
and some sorrows.
There, Fernanda writes about her experiences
and the present moment.
Not about the future.
About the future,
she just knew she would be happy.
